A private engineering college with approximately 4,500 students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs was managing its academic operations through a mix of methods that no longer served it well. Attendance was recorded in paper registers and totalled at the end of each month. Study materials were distributed over WhatsApp groups, which meant older content was buried and students had no organised way to find what they needed. Exam schedules were posted on notice boards. Results were compiled in Excel and shared by email. Faculty had no central place to publish materials, track student engagement, or run online assessments. And students had no way to access recorded lectures, check live grades, or communicate with instructors outside class time. The institution knew it needed a proper learning management system. It had never had one.
HMB deployed HMB Academy, configured specifically for the college's academic structure: three faculties, 12 undergraduate and postgraduate programs, over 300 faculty members, and 4,500 students. We handled content migration, faculty onboarding, and student setup in a structured 6-week programme. The college went from having no LMS to running its entire academic operation on one platform.
